Each transport company has their own pricing structure and may start off at the lowest cost to have the customer take the call to action. Others may not include all of the transport fees. North American Auto Transport offers a "Nice and Simple" pricing structure and our prices are ALL INCLUSIVE so there are no additional costs. Our prices include fuel, processing and handling and other fees. Unfortunately, there are companies who will not include all of their fees until your vehicle is picked up and then add an additional fuel charge, or expedited pick up fee. Please be sure to read their contracts. Another factor is whether you have a short time frame to pick up your vehicle or if you have a large window of opportunity to have your vehicle picked up. As an example, if you are calling us on Monday and expecting to leave town on Wednesday and you need your vehicle picked up on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning you have a small window of opportunity to move your car and that usually costs more than if you do not care if your vehicle is picked up after you fly out because you have family, friends or neighbors who can meet the auto transporter to give the driver your vehicle. Our drivers are always willing to negotiate time and meeting places as long as it is within a 30 mile radius of the original reservation pickup address.

question #3 - Can I pack personal belongings in my vehicle? You are not allowed to place any personal effects in the vehicle. The Department of Transportation does not allow transportation of "personal effects" in a car that is being hauled by an "Auto Transporter". Any personal items in the vehicle will not be covered by the carrier's insurance. All trucks have weight limitations by law that they must comply with for safety, road tax, etc. Any excess weight within the car being transported can put the carriers transport truck over its weight limitation, and cause delays. You may be subject to a surcharge should you take the chance in doing so. Question #4 - IS my vehicle insured? Federal D.O.T. law requires that every carrier must have cargo insurance. Your vehicle will be covered up to the Kelly Bluebook Resale Value. Our drivers will perform a 150 point inspection report at the pickup and the again at the delivery location of your vehicle. If any damages occurred during transit, the person signing for the vehicle at the destination must note this on the inspection report and have the driver sign it. The insurance companies require this documentation to process any claims. question #5 - Will I save money if I deliver or pick-up my vehicle at a terminal? Yes, you will by using either the pick-up or delivery terminal, you can save money off the standard quoted price at each end. Please ask one of our reservationists for details to see if one of our locations is something that will suit your needs. question #6 - How will I know when a driver is coming to pick up my vehicle? To arrange a convenient pick-up, or delivery time, you will receive a telephone call 12 to 24 hrs. in advance. This call will inform you of the general time you can expect the transport driver to arrive. If the transport driver's schedule changes, they will call you to provide an updated time for pick-up, or delivery. QUESTION #7 - IS my pick-up or delivery date guaranteed? Unlike the typical brokerage structure, North American Auto Transport works with actual existing spot available on carriers. That means when we reserve a spot on the carrier in route we will work within a 2-3 day time frame of your requested date. We will not guarantee a delivery date. Vehicles being moved are placed into the most efficient routing schedule by our dispatch department. However, we are 99% of the time within the discussed timing parameters. In the rare cases there are delays due to common transportation factors such as weather conditions, mechanical problems or other effects out of our control.
